Highest-touch service
Supply & Operate
From design to pack-down: a complete lighting solution, run by the people who built it.
Krank’d Productions are storytellers first. We use lighting to make the moment land: the entrance the audience leans forward for, the cue that lifts a chorus, the look that makes a corporate keynote feel like an opening night.
Supply and operate is our highest-touch service. We design the rig around what the show actually needs, deliver and load it in, sit at the console for every cue, and tear it down at the end. One team, one accountability, no handoffs.
From a single grandMA console up to multi-truck broadcast civic events, supply-and-operate gives clients a complete creative and technical solution from a single trusted partner.
How it runs
Four stages, one team accountable for all of them.
We sit down with the brief.
A conversation about the story, the venue, the audience and the call sheet. From that we develop the lighting design, the fixture schedule, the patch and the focus plan. You see drawings before anyone touches a truck.
Load-in is our day.
Our crew loads in, rigs the structure, hangs and patches every fixture, focuses the rig and tunes the looks. We bring data, power distro, cables, spares. Your venue stays calm.
An operator at the desk for every cue.
An experienced operator runs the console for every rehearsal and every performance. We listen to the band, the director, the producer, and we make changes in the room, in the moment.
Strike, audit, gone.
We strike the rig, coil every cable, audit the gear back into our store. Nothing left behind. We invoice once, against the brief we agreed before load-in.

Frequently asked
- 01 What’s the difference between supply-and-operate and dry hire?
- Dry hire is just the gear; you supply the operator. Supply-and-operate is the complete service: gear plus the people who designed and rigged it, sitting at the console for your show.
- 02 How early do you need to know about the gig?
- Two to four weeks for a standard event; six to twelve weeks for civic, broadcast or touring work. We can move faster on shorter notice when the inventory is free. Call us and we’ll be honest.
- 03 Do you handle outdoor and broadcast events?
- Yes. We’ve delivered single-camera live and multi-camera broadcast briefs, including civic events with weather contingency, FOH and broadcast lighting outputs, and full timecode integration. Talk to us about the camera plan early.
- 04 What does a typical pre-production conversation look like?
- A scope call, a venue walk if local, a conversation with your director or producer, then a written design and fixture schedule for sign-off. After that, we go quiet and get on with it.
- 05 Can you scale across multiple stages or venues?
- Yes. We’ve run multi-stage festivals and multi-venue touring seasons. Each stage gets its own designer, its own operator and its own clear comms back to a single Krank’d lead.
