About the DMXking eDMX4 PRO

The DMXking eDMX4 PRO is a professional 4-universe Art-Net and sACN to DMX512 gateway built for demanding live event and installation environments. Each of its four 5-pin XLR ports is individually configurable as either an input or output, giving lighting programmers and system integrators genuine flexibility when architecting complex DMX networks. Full RDM (E1.20) support allows bidirectional communication with compatible fixtures, enabling remote addressing, status reporting, and diagnostics without breaking the data path.

The unit features 1500V isolation between DMX ports, protecting both the network and connected fixtures from ground loops and electrical interference, a critical consideration on large stages and in temporary power environments common to Australian touring and festival production.

Simplified Installation with PoE

Power is delivered entirely over the network cable via IEEE 802.3af PoE, eliminating the need for a local mains feed or external power supply. This makes the eDMX4 PRO well suited to truss-mounted or ceiling-mounted deployments where running a separate power circuit would be impractical. PoE cable runs of up to 70m are supported, and the unit connects via a robust etherCON or standard RJ45 interface for compatibility with touring and installation network infrastructure alike.

A built-in standalone mode with microSD card support enables show recording and playback without a connected control system, useful for corporate installs, repeating playback environments, or as a backup trigger during live events.
